I want a Border Collie puppy. Now!

We have been thinking about getting a dog for a long time. Jessy's family has always had dogs and my biggest wish, even as a toddler, was to have a dog of my own.
After long discussions and deliberations, I/we came to the decision that the time was right for us and if not now, when? And then it happened quite quickly. I have everything I thought we needed (for this in this post more), and immediately started looking for a breeder. However, as the waiting lists at many breeders are very long, I finally came across Deine Tierwelt with an advert with beautiful little puppies and they were ready to pick up straight away ?.
So I contacted the breeder directly and at the weekend we drove about 600km to Osterode am Harz and there he was:

Balu der Border Collie (12 Wochen)

As the last remaining male, we immediately fell in love with Faivel (now Balu), who is almost 12 weeks old. With his playful, open and energetic nature.
Everything was right from the first second. Balu approached us openly and we approached him directly. But then we were a bit suspicious. The breeder didn't want to give us a commitment until Faivel's mother was there. After Mother Ivy was also immediately taken with it, the breeder explained to us that he always lets the mother decide whether interested parties get the puppy (we still tell people about this ingenious procedure very often). After that, everything went very quickly. After all the formalities had been settled, we loaded Faivel (from now on Balu) into our car and set off on the six-hour journey home:

Of course we had informed ourselves properly in advance ?:
- Toilet break for the little one every 1-2 hours
- enough to drink
- Puppies can have travel sickness
However, the last point was the only one that was true. Balu had to throw up in curvy places. However, he did not take a single break to relieve himself, nor did he drink anything on the way. Already overfilled with worries, we arrived at his new snowy home in the evening:

And already it had happened. In picture one, the excitement of the journey was over and the little man had to relieve himself on Jessy ?. Afterwards, he drank half the bowl, played a little and then slept soundly among the new toys.
And with that, we arrived home exhausted but happy in our new family constellation. And the first worries were also gone (for the time being).
